Cimmaron has entertained and offered listeners country music for over 20 years with an edge doing it their way. They offer a combination of kickin’ traditional, Outlaw rockin’ country music that reflects the varied backgrounds of the band members. Cimmaron has performed nationally at venues as broad as Boulder Station Casino in Las Vegas to Disney World’s Armadillos Saloon. While the band is always busy performing at State Fairs and Festivals across the country, they always make time to continue to fine tune their distinct sound by appearing in hundreds of night clubs and honkytonks from coast to coast.
The band has deep-set roots in these smoke filled clubs and thrives on the response of a rowdy, excited live audience large or small. Their videos played on TNN & CMT and won the Golden Music Award in 1995 for Video of the Year and Band of the Year. Cimmaron is a favorite of nationally recognized music critic Robert K. Ormann and were guests on his syndicated radio show on WSM. Cimmaron members are Guitarist, Lead Vocalist, and Harmonica Bobby Smith, Steel Guitarist and Vocalist Joey McCray, Bass Guitarist Brian Jones, Vocalist and Drummer Jerry Parris, Guitar, Banjo, Fiddle, Dobro, Mandolin and Vocalist Terry Hannabass, and Honorary Member, Josh Shilling, Keyboards and Vocals. Cimmaron’s inspiration comes from a quote from the original Outlaw, the late Waylon Jennings, “Everyone is entitled to do it their way just once”.
